A little about The Mailman...

 

Currently, The Mailman is 28 years old and a well seasoned musician as well as producer. The Mailman has been playing music since the age of 4, he was taught under Berkley Fudge , Mark Davis, Mike Plogg and Dave Balis. While in High School The Mailman played the Saxophone at various events and venues around Milwaukee, such as, Jazz In The Park, Caroline's and Panache. He was featured on the front page of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel for a performance during High School. Before leaving to attend Berklee College of Music on a World Scholarship Tour Award, in Boston, MA; he opened up for Nancy Wilson, Whyton Marsalis, and Bradford Marsalis.

 

During years at Berklee The Mailman toured in Europe, South America and the United States of America playing for jazz festivals, summer festivals, balls and banquets. While studying in Boston, The Mailman frequently traveled to New York to play at the Blue Note. During the time that The Mailman studied music at Berklee College of Music he toured with John Legend and Erykah Badu. Not only does The Mailman have a background in Jazz, Classical and Neo Soul, he also has a gospel background. The Mailman has played for artist such as Tye Trippet, Morning Star Baptist Church (Boston), and Kingdom Builders (Boston).

 

Now that The Mailman has mastered his craft on his Saxophone he is now starting to step on the other side of the studio glass, to become the producer. The education that The Mailman received at Berklee, along with the experience he has gained from traveling the world he is able to merge genres and sounds together to create music that is new and inventive. In January of 2013, The Mailman decided that it was time to start Mailman Productions. Since the creation of Mailman Productions, The Mailman has changed the sound of Hip Hop music in the Milwaukee area. By blending in various genres, he is able to develop sounds unlike anyone else.
